The Destroyit 2600 SMC high security shredder is a great mid-sized model with a lot of features and capabilities inside a relatively small cabinet. The cabinet is made from high quality wood and inside has a quiet yet powerful single phase motor. The sturdy "twin drive system" is securely enclosed in dust-proof housing. The cabinet is mounted on casters for accessibility and mobility. It has a sheet capacity of 11 and a roomy 10 1/4" feed opening. The Destroyit 2600 SMC has plenty of features that make it a top-notch model. The automatic start and stop of the feed is controlled by a photo sensor, making the machine safer and more electricity thrifty by not running when it isn't being used. It also has the "ESM" (Energy Saving Mode) which kicks in to conserve power after 1 hour of inactivity. The "Easy Switch" control features LED-lit icons representing operational status as well as rocker controls for easy off or reverse-feed.
